Outpatient Clinical Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Clinical Manager to join our leadership team at New Day ECS. This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who excels in both clinical practice and mentorship. The Clinical Manager supports daily clinical operations, provides field instruction and supervision to graduate-level practicum students, and helps maintain high standards of care throughout the practice. Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Supervision & Support

  • Provide direct field instruction and supervision to graduate practicum students in counseling, social work, or psychology programs.
  • Support clinical staff with case consultations, documentation review, and clinical best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services to ensure supervision and training meet academic and licensing requirements

Program Coordination & Leadership

  • Assist with the development and management of internship/practicum programs, including onboarding, evaluation, and coordination with university partners.
  • Participate in the recruitment and orientation of new clinical staff and interns.
  • Help manage day-to-day clinical operations, including scheduling and workflow coordination.

Direct Reports

  • Manage all employee and contractor clinicians on the outpatient services team 
  • Conduct interviews with potential candidates as part of the hiring process
  • Delegate to and coordinator with the Quality Assurance and Community Outreach Coordinators

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, licensing board regulations, and agency policies.
  • Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team performance reviews.

Client Care & Caseload Management

  • Maintain a reduced client caseload to stay engaged in direct service delivery.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex or high-needs cases.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Willingness to become approved field instructor through a partnering academic institution
  • Minimum 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience, with experience supervising students or interns preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards, ethical practices, and evidence-based care
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in virtual private practice or outpatient behavioral health setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with mental health licensing and continuing education requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Enrollment and Training Support

  • Coordinate enrollment for staff in internal and external training programs.

  • Manage registration, attendance tracking, and completion status for CEU and licensure-related trainings.

  • Maintain a master calendar of mandatory and elective training deadlines.

Documentation and Records Management

  • Maintain accurate records of completed trainings, CEU certificates, supervision hours, and licensure documentation for all clinical staff.
